There hasn't been much to talk about. . . . .

I've been doing a bit of reading and lots of TV watching. Actually, I should re-state that. . . the TV has been on and I have been in front of it but not always watching it.

The programs are dumb, the commercials are even dumber. . .although I have to admit I get a giggle from the TruGreen commercials with Bobby the lawn mowing kid. And, of course, the Progressive Insurance commercials are cute.

However, in an attempt to force myself to write about something, anything, I am going to sign up on swap-bot.com for a blog following swap. It seems to me that it would be a way to meet people that I wouldn't ordinarily meet and perhaps I'll find some new interests to keep me motivated to look toward tomorrow instead of dwelling in yesterday like I have been doing for the last little while.

Daydreaming about things that never occurred. . . .

As a child you dream of growing up and the things you are going to do. As a little girl you play with dolls, and you dream about getting married. Its the same for most girls, I would think. By the time you are 18 you already have the wedding dress picked out, the flowers, the spot, bridesmaids, etc., the only thing missing from that picture may be the groom.

Oh there are those first boyfriends, those crushes, the "I think this is the one" moments. But it's not until later that the last piece of the puzzle actually falls into place - that groom that we need to put into the picture.

For most of us the plans probably remain mostly the same, the type of cake you love, the gown may change a little (depending on the current styles), bridesmaids have changed over the years - based on the changing friendships of youth.

You have to allow the groom some decisions now, the magical day that you dreamed about is not all about "you", but the groom has to have some sort of a spot in the whole thing.

I've never married. . . . .and probably never will. . . .but it is fun to think back to all of the dreams and ideas that I had of what kind of wedding I would like.

Do you ever daydream about things that you've never done?

Here's to new starts

Decided that I would join the world of blogging. . . I find it very interesting that there is an endless number of blogs to explore (some more interesting than others, as I am sure many others will agree).

I'm not sure that I will have enough to talk about to keep anyone interested, but it will be fun to see if this new activity will give me some new friends.
